Anni Piper

Multi-talented performer Anni Piper launched her latest album 'Chasin' Tail' in February 2010 and describes her sound as 'blues on the rocks, served in a dirty glass'.

Her life long love affair with the bass guitar began when she was 14, and her natural ability led her to complete a music degree at Southern Cross University while she was still in her teens.

Piper's debut album won the category of 'Best New Talent' at the Australian Blues Music Awards in 2004 and she has been a hit with audiences in Australia and overseas ever since. One reviewer described her smoky alto voice as one that 'lulls men to their doom'. Perhaps this comment contributed to significant overseas interest in her music, which allowed Piper to secure a contract with USA label Blues Leaf Records in 2008.

Anni Piper was a top 5 finalist in the Musicoz awards and a finalist in the 2009 APRA Professional Development Awards. She is currently touring throughout Australia to promote her latest CD.
